Mobilité rurale

About us

What is Flexi Mobilité rurale?

Flexi Mobilité rurale is an innovative initiative that meets the transportation needs of Acadian Peninsula residents. An accessible, reliable and inclusive transportation service that promotes sustainable mobility.

Flexi Mobilité Rurale currently offers two main services.

Flexi Public Transit

The service efficiently connects Caraquet, Shippagan and Tracadie via three main routes with a total of 59 stops.

The central connection point in Pokemouche enables a seamless transition between trips, facilitating travel between communities. The service is currently free of charge, with pricing planned over the coming months.

Flexi Déplacement Peninsula

Launched in 2015, this community transportation service is aimed primarily at citizens who have no means of transport to meet their essential needs, such as medical appointments or shopping. Operating on a reservation basis, it relies on a network of volunteer drivers who provide rides to the four corners of the region. Customers pay $0.50 per kilometer for their trips.

Into the future

Flexi Mobilité rurale plans to expand its services with projects such as :

Flexi Vélopartage

A bike-sharing system to promote active mobility.

Flexi Autopartage

A car-sharing service to meet occasional transport needs.

Stay tuned for updates on these initiatives!
