Public Transportation Transit

Q&A

There are no age restrictions for using the service. However, children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a person aged 19 or over.

Consult the Province of New Brunswick website for current provincial laws and regulations.

Flexi Transport en commun does not provide booster seats for children. Parents must therefore bring their own booster seat if necessary.

The service now has three main routes: Caraquet, covering Village Blanchard and Bas-Caraquet; Shippagan, including Le Goulet and Haut-Shippagan; and Tracadie, serving Saint-Isidore and Losier Settlement. The central connection point at Pokemouche makes it easy to link these three routes for travel between communities.

*Changes may occur

Users are allowed to travel with bags and other items that they can carry themselves. Please ensure that your items do not obstruct the passageway or occupy an extra seat.

Items found will be deposited at the CSRPA head office, located at 220, boulevard Saint-Pierre Ouest, gate 5, in Caraquet, where they can be claimed. Please note that Flexi Transport en commun declines all responsibility for items lost or forgotten in its vehicles.

Reservations can be made in several ways:

For logistical reasons, users are only allowed to embark or disembark at pre-booked stops.

Please inform the driver immediately. He will be able to stop the vehicle and assess the seriousness of the situation. He will contact the appropriate emergency service, if necessary.

For safety reasons, the driver is not authorized to make any stops other than those established in advance by the service. Therefore, if you are not at a designated pick-up point or you are not there at the agreed time, the vehicle will not stop.

The bus should arrive within up to, but not exceeding, five (5) minutes. In the event of a longer delay or a change to the schedule for non-routine reasons (e.g. adverse weather conditions, road accidents), users will be notified via the mobile application, the service’s Facebook page, the website or by contacting the service dispatcher at 506.616.1616.

Once a reservation has been accepted, it cannot be modified in the application. However, you can cancel your booking at any time before departure.

You can then submit a new reservation request. However, this must be done at least 1 hour before the anticipated departure.

A light, compact stroller is allowed on the bus. It must be folded before boarding.

Flexi Transit will inform its users of any service interruption via the Blaise Transit application, Facebook page, website, and answering machine at 506.616.1616.
